Four travelers lost their lives and several others sustained injuries after a multiple crash at Ikeji-Arakeji, Ori-Ade LGA, Osun State.

The accident happened along the Osun/Ondo highway and involved two buses and a truck. Eyewitness video showed one of the buses engulfed in flames while injured passengers, including two NYSC members, lay on the road as residents rushed to help.
Osun FRSC Commandant Taofeek Sokunbi said the crash occurred near a speed breaker and was caused by over speeding and driver carelessness. He confirmed four deaths and 20 injured, though early reports put injuries at 10.
“Drivers must be careful on this road,” Sokunbi warned. “This accident was avoidable. Speeding and reckless driving cost lives”.
The crash has again raised concerns over road safety on the busy Osun/Ondo route, especially near speed breakers where drivers often fail to slow down.
