Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will honour Lagos-based student-athletes who excelled at the World School Games Olympia in Doha, Qatar, and the African Youth Games in Angola. The athletes won medals in athletics, football, and swimming, showcasing Lagos’ dominance in school sports. St Saviour’s School and Grange School topped the leaderboards in various age categories.

Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the athletes’ discipline and dedication, saying their achievements reflect the state’s growing sports ecosystem. Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu, hailed the performance as a milestone for youth sports in Lagos, demonstrating the power of talent, structure, and opportunity.
