Nigerian entertainers are demanding urgent action after gunmen abducted 39 students and 7 teachers from schools in Oyo State last week.

The attack on schools in the Ahoro Esinele community, Oriire district, sparked a wave of reactions online. Nigerian entertainers shared emotional videos and posts, calling on government at all levels to prioritize the safety of children and secure schools across the country.

They expressed frustration over repeated abductions, saying schools should be safe spaces, not targets. Many urged citizens to speak up and support families of victims, while pressing authorities to rescue those still in captivity.

The incident has renewed public pressure on security agencies, as parents and communities continue to live in fear. Education stakeholders say stronger protection around schools is now critical to stop further attacks.
