A group of 62 Nigerians currently being held in Uganda are receiving medical attention after falling ill while in detention, with one infant among them now hospitalized.

The situation came to light following reports that several of the detainees developed health complications during their custody. Authorities said the infant was transferred to a medical facility for treatment, while the others are being monitored and provided with care on site.
No further details have been released regarding the cause of the illness or the circumstances surrounding the detention. Nigerian diplomatic officials are said to be engaging with Ugandan authorities to ensure the welfare of the citizens involved.
Efforts are ongoing to address the health concerns and secure appropriate support for those affected.
