The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested three persons with disabilities for alleged drug trafficking during separate operations in Anambra and Kwara states, and also seized 2,326kg of imported cannabis worth over ₦5.8 billion in a Lagos raid.

According to NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi, the arrests took place between May 6 and May 8.
In Anambra, a 60-year-old man, Romanus Nwabara, was picked up on May 6 in Akpaka Forest, Onitsha, with 250g of skunk packaged in retail sachets. A day later, officers arrested 25-year-old Amos Kenneth in Ogbunike with 160.3g of Tramadol, 80 Diazepam tablets, 38.23g of Exol 5, and 176.93g of skunk.
In Kwara, operatives on patrol along Bode Saadu on May 8 stopped a commercial vehicle and found Usman Salisu, a PWD, with 6.3kg of skunk hidden in a school bag.
The biggest haul came from a Lekki, Lagos mansion used as a stash house. On May 8, NDLEA’s Special Operations Unit raided the property at 36 African Lane, Lekki Phase 1, and recovered 4,000 parcels of “Loud” cannabis weighing 2,326kg. The agency put the street value at over ₦5.815 billion. Two Mercedes-Benz buses and designer packaging materials were also seized.
