Nollywood actress and Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Social Events and Public Hearings, Eniola Badmus, has vowed to pursue legal action against an X user, @Femzydr1, who accused her of running a prostitution network involving young women, top film executives, and Nigerian politicians. The allegation, posted on Thursday, claimed Badmus acted as a private pimp in the Nigerian movie industry, leveraging her connections to link young girls to directors, movie executives, and powerful politicians, with her political appointment being a supposed reward.
Badmus swiftly denied the claims on her verified X account, labeling them false and warning the accuser of facing authorities. “This is a false accusation and the authorities will step in. Let it be known that we do not forgive in this zone,” she wrote. @Femzydr1 has since issued a public apology, acknowledging the post was made without evidence and expressing regret for spreading false information.
This isn’t Badmus’s first time dealing with such allegations. In 2023, a TikTok user made similar claims, resulting in the user’s arrest and sentencing to three years imprisonment or a N150,000 fine.
