The Nigeria Police Force says it has arrested two suspects and recovered the stolen Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to the late Bishop Chinedu Clarence James.

According to the Anambra State Police Command, the vehicle was intercepted in Onitsha after operatives received intelligence that it was being moved for sale. The arrest was carried out during a coordinated operation directed by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu.

Investigators said one of the suspects allegedly reached out to a cousin in Onitsha to find a buyer after the bishop was abducted and killed in Delta State on May 12. Both suspects were apprehended at the point of sale, and the vehicle was taken as evidence.

The police stated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the syndicate involved in the kidnapping, murder, and attempted sale of the vehicle.
