A supporter was killed and several others injured after armed hoodlums disrupted the APC primary election in Egbe, Alimosho, Lagos, on Saturday.

The attack happened on Onilewura Street along Liasu Road. Gunmen fired shots into the venue, scattering party members and voters. During the panic, some suspects also robbed attendees of phones and other valuables.

Police said 10 suspects have been arrested and a locally made firearm recovered. The suspects are being held at Ikotun Divisional Police Station while investigations continue.

ASP Femi Adeoye, Deputy PRO for Lagos Police Command, confirmed the arrests and said efforts are underway to uncover who sponsored the attack and why. He called on the public to stay calm and provide any useful information to the police.
