Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested 6 suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and recovered strategic materials in Borno State.

The operation was carried out on Saturday, July 19, 2026, at about 4:00 p.m. by troops of Sector 1 OPHK. It was an intelligence-led stop-and-search along a suspected terrorist logistics route.

According to the Theatre Command, the suspects were travelling in 5 vehicles conveying a large consignment believed to be destined for terrorist elements.

Items recovered include:

– 202 cartons of herbicides

– 1 jerrycan of suspected acid

– 1 Starlink wireless internet system

– 6 bags of NPK fertilizer

– 10 bags of rice

– 50 hoes

– 20 packs of knapsack sprayer pumps

The military said the materials have potential dual-use applications that could support terrorist logistics, mobility, and communications. It added that the NPK fertilizer and suspected acid will undergo further forensic examination to determine if they were meant for Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs.

The 6 suspects and all recovered items have been handed over to the Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation to identify the wider network and sponsors.

The Theatre Command said debriefings of rescued hostages and surrendered terrorists show that sustained disruption of logistics has forced many terrorists to abandon hostages and flee their enclaves due to shortages of food, medical supplies and communications equipment.

Operation HADIN KAI reiterated its commitment to targeting terrorists, financiers, and logistics suppliers to degrade their operational capability.

The Command urged members of the public to provide timely information to security agencies to help restore peace in the North East.
