SURULERE APC PRIMARY DELAYED AFTER INEC OFFICIALS MISS VENUE

The APC primary for Surulere Federal Constituency ran into problems after no Independent National Electoral Commission officials showed up at the scheduled location.

Party members and delegates who arrived for the exercise said the no-show caused confusion, with many unsure whether the process would proceed. The delay led to tension among supporters and sparked concerns over how the primary would be handled.

Organizers and local party leaders held consultations on the ground while waiting for direction from the party. Those present said they were looking for an update on when and how the exercise would continue.

The incident has added to ongoing debate about the conduct of party primaries as political parties ramp up activities ahead of the next polls. At the time of filing, both INEC and APC had not issued an official explanation for the absence of electoral officials.
