Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commissioned new power infrastructure initiatives in Badagry to boost rural electrification, economic activities, and quality of life in the area. The projects include three HC tower crossings, rehabilitation of 33KV distribution lines, and connection of 51 transformer substations, aiming to address longstanding electricity challenges.

The initiative is expected to strengthen power distribution across the Gbaji–Seme and Owode–Apa corridors, providing improved electricity supply to thousands of homes, shops, and businesses. Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the project aligns with the administration’s THEMES+ Development Agenda, focusing on expanding energy access and building resilient infrastructure.
The governor urged residents to take ownership of the infrastructure and protect it from vandalism, ensuring it serves the communities for years to come.
