The Joint Task Force, South-South, Operation Delta Safe (OPDS), has arrested two individuals suspected of vandalizing pipelines at the Ebocha Oil Centre in Rivers State. The suspects, identified as a 32-year-old from Awka North, Anambra State, and a 40-year-old from Umu Nneochi, Abia State, were apprehended on April 2, with stolen metal materials.

Authorities recovered 99 pieces of metal suspected to have been pilfered from critical infrastructure. The suspects and seized items have been handed over to the Department of State Services (DSS) for further investigation and possible prosecution.
This operation underscores efforts to combat pipeline vandalism, a persistent threat to Nigeria’s oil industry. The OPDS continues to work with other agencies to protect national assets and ensure energy security.
