Snaresbrook Crown Court lists charges including attempted rape and assault by penetration.

Nigerian dancer and socialite Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is facing five sexual offence charges in the United Kingdom.

Snaresbrook Crown Court in London confirmed the charges on Wednesday. The court also said a reporting restriction is in place to protect the identity of the complainant.

According to James Baker, the court’s Admin Team Leader, the charges filed against the defendant are:

Attempted rape, 2 counts of rape, and 2 counts of assault by penetration.

Baker confirmed the information in an email to The Punch.

“The defendant has been charged with: Attempted rape, 2x Rape, 2x Assault by penetration,” he wrote.

The case has been scheduled for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.

The court also imposed a reporting restriction under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 1992. This means details that could identify the complainant cannot be published.

“There is a reporting restriction on the case provided. This order protects the anonymity of the complainant,” Baker added.

Reports about the case involving Poco Lee had earlier circulated. His management and legal team previously called for restraint pending the outcome of legal proceedings.

With the latest confirmation from Snaresbrook Crown Court, the specific charges have now been made public. The matter remains before the court.
