Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved a weekly day off and a N10,000 monthly transport allowance for civil servants in the state.

The measures are aimed at cushioning the impact of rising living costs and easing the burden on workers. Under the new arrangement, public servants will get one work-free day each week to reduce commuting expenses and improve work-life balance.

The N10,000 allowance will be paid monthly to support transportation costs for all state employees. Government officials said the policy takes immediate effect and reflects the administration’s commitment to staff welfare.

The state government urged workers to remain productive and assured that service delivery to residents will not be disrupted by the adjusted schedule.
