NIGERIA BOOSTS PRIMARY HEALTHCARE WITH MASSIVE FUND DISBURSEMENT.

The Nigerian government has allocated over N98 billion to enhance primary healthcare services nationwide. According to Punch online, This significant investment is aimed at improving operational expenses for more than 8,300 primary healthcare centres across the country.

As a result of this initiative, numerous healthcare facilities have received upgrades, with 2,565 centres modernized and 1,456 more undergoing renovation. Additionally, health insurance coverage has been extended to millions of vulnerable Nigerians, with over 10 million individuals now benefiting from this scheme. The government has also invested heavily in healthcare worker training, with over 78,000 professionals equipped with the latest skills and knowledge.

President Tinubu stressed that quality healthcare is vital for Nigeria’s economic growth and development, calling on state governors and lawmakers to prioritize healthcare funding. The government aims to improve healthcare outcomes and achieve better results for its citizens.
