Streaming giant Netflix has secured exclusive broadcasting rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain and Andorra, marking a major expansion into live sports.

The company announced the deal in a blog post on Tuesday, October 13, stating it will broadcast all 104 matches of the centenary tournament, which will be co-hosted by Spain, Morocco and Portugal.

Under the agreement, Netflix will provide full live coverage including pre-match, half-time and post-match shows tailored for Spanish audiences, plus daily roundup shows.

The deal includes free-to-air provisions: one match per matchday will be available for free in Spain, while all matches featuring the Spanish national team, plus both semi-finals and the final, will be broadcast on a free-to-air channel. The partner broadcaster is yet to be announced.
