A daring abduction attempt in Kano State’s Bebeji Local Government Area has been thwarted by security forces, with two victims rescued and one suspect fatally injured. The incident went down on March 2 around 11:30 p.m. in Rantan Village, where 15 armed men stormed a home, taking Fulani Bakwai and Mohd Bello hostile.

In the ensuing chase, Musa Mohd Bello, 25, was shot and later succumbed to his injuries at Tiga General Hospital. Security personnel, aided by local vigilantes, sprung into action after a distress call, sending the abductors fleeing for cover.

With the area now calm, authorities are pressing ahead with a manhunt for the perpetrators. The investigation is still in full swing.
