Financial technology company, OPay, has successfully raised $304 million through its Initial Public Offering on the New York Stock Exchange.

The SoftBank-backed fintech began trading on Friday, October 30, 2026, under the ticker symbol “OPAY”, marking its official entry into the United States capital market at an estimated valuation of $4 billion.
The company offered 16 million American Depositary Shares at a price of $19 per share, which represents the lower end of its earlier projected range of $19 to $21. The transaction was managed by Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Standard Bank and China International Capital Corporation as joint book-runners.
According to the offering details, OPay also granted underwriters a 30-day option to acquire an additional 2.4 million shares to cover over-allotments. If the option is fully exercised, total proceeds from the IPO could rise to $349.6 million.
The offering is expected to close on November 2, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
Beyond its US listing, OPay is targeting a secondary listing on the Nigerian Exchange Limited. The company disclosed that its board and shareholders have approved the plan, which will give Nigerian investors an opportunity to own shares in the company.
Founded in 2018 by Yahui Zhou, OPay provides payment, money transfer, savings and credit services and operates across Nigeria, Egypt, Pakistan and Indonesia with over 50 million monthly active users. Nigeria remains its largest market, contributing about 89 percent of its revenue.
