Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James and her husband, Femi Atere, have announced the birth of their first child, a daughter named Eliana Adeife Atere.

The couple shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, posting a video of their first moments with the newborn. Eliana was born on May 2, 2026, at 7:12 p.m., weighing 3.83kg and measuring 53.5cm.

They explained that the name Eliana combines “EL” meaning God and “ANA” meaning He has answered, translating to “My God has answered.” The announcement included the Bible verse 1 Samuel 1:27: “For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.”

Veekee and Femi married in February 2024 after getting engaged in December 2023. They revealed their pregnancy in February 2026, saying they had waited a year before receiving the news.
