A pro-Tinubu campaign group in Ekiti State has stepped up mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections. The Engineer Kayode Ojo Campaign Organisation recently reconstituted its consultative committee to strengthen grassroots outreach for President Bola Tinubu. Committee chairman Adebayo Morakinyo said the goal is to deliver at least 90 percent of Ekiti’s votes to the President by highlighting achievements under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The reconstituted team includes Ilesanmi Oguntuase as secretary, Mrs Bose Yakubu as treasurer, and Mr Ajayi Daramola as organising secretary. It will operate under the guidance of the EKO Movement Elders Advisory Committee led by Prof Afolabi Popoola. Planned activities include radio programmes, empowerment initiatives, sensitisation campaigns, and direct voter engagement across wards and polling units. Morakinyo urged supporters to educate voters on federal policies in education, infrastructure, health, agriculture, power, and economic recovery.
Separately, Governor Biodun Oyebanji has inaugurated 5,000 community canvassers and met with the City Boys Movement to push for Tinubu’s re-election. Oyebanji asked the groups to be visible at the unit level, saying elections are won through strategic engagement at the grassroots. He tasked each canvasser with reaching at least 25 voters, aiming for 125,000 votes in total, and set a broader target of securing 600,000 votes for Tinubu in Ekiti.
Oyebanji described the effort as a way to show appreciation for federal support to the state and said the APC leadership in Ekiti wants an unprecedented margin for the President.
