The Federal High Court has granted bail to popular cryptocurrency businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, after he spent several weeks in custody at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

Blord was arraigned over allegations of impersonating social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan, and other related charges. He had been remanded following his first court appearance, with the judge adjourning the case to consider his bail application.
Ruling on the application, the court set bail conditions which his legal team said have now been met, leading to his release. The specific bail terms include a substantial bond and sureties who must be residents within the court’s jurisdiction.
The case stems from a petition alleging that Blord created and operated online accounts in the name of VeryDarkMan, using the identity to solicit funds and engage with the public. Blord has denied the allegations through his counsel, maintaining that he runs legitimate businesses and will clear his name in court.
His legal team confirmed he was released from Kuje on Friday after perfecting the bail conditions. The matter was adjourned to a later date for continuation of trial.
The development has drawn wide attention online due to the high profiles of both Blord and VeryDarkMan in Nigeria’s tech and social media spaces.
