BREAK WITH THE PAST”: SOWORE CAMP TARGETS ATIKU AHEAD OF 2027.

AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, have launched a fresh attack on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing him as a symbol of Nigeria’s failed political establishment.

In a statement circulated on social media, the camp questioned what “fundamentally different future” Atiku is offering Nigerians after decades in government.

The statement recalled Atiku’s eight years as Vice President between 1999 and 2007, a period it said saw “enormous sums poured into the power sector” while millions of Nigerians “remained trapped in darkness.”

“After decades at the centre of Nigeria’s political system, what fundamentally different future is @Atiku offering Nigerians today? NOTHING!” the statement read.

The Sowore camp argued that Nigeria does not need “another recycling of the same political elite,” but a complete break from a system it blames for poverty, corruption, insecurity and poor infrastructure.

“Nigeria does not need another recycling of the same political elite. We need a clean break from the system that produced poverty, corruption, insecurity and darkness. BREAK with the past. Vote Sowore in 2027!” the statement concluded.

Atiku, who has been in Nigeria’s political scene since the 1980s, is yet to respond to the latest criticism.
