Gunmen attacked Dangoro village in Zamfara State, killing three people and setting several houses and silos ablaze. The incident occurred on March 28, 2026, around 10:30 pm, with the attackers, carrying AK-47 rifles, invading the community and shooting sporadically.

The police and vigilante members responded to the scene, engaging the attackers in a gun duel and forcing them to flee. Five people sustained gunshot injuries, while four others suffered burn injuries. The injured victims are receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Gusau.

The Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Bello, assured residents of the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging them to remain calm and vigilant. The police have intensified efforts to track down the perpetrators.
