Gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked multiple communities in Kwara State on Thursday night, abducting two residents, according to reports.

The assaults occurred in Gaa-Alla and Gaa-Oke Abba areas of Isin Local Government, as well as Famole Community in Ifelodun Local Government. Eyewitnesses said the attackers stormed the areas late at night and whisked away victims before fleeing.

Residents reported that the incidents have heightened fear in the affected communities, with many calling on security agencies to increase patrols and respond quickly to rescue the abducted persons.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement, but local security sources said efforts are underway to track the attackers and secure the release of those taken.

Insecurity has remained a concern in parts of Kwara, with communities urging stronger coordination between state and federal forces to curb abductions and attacks.
