The All Progressives Congress, APC, has asked Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to focus on issue-based campaigns instead of blaming President Bola Tinubu and other party leaders ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

National Secretary of the party, Dr. Ajibola Bashiru, made this known in response to comments credited to Governor Adeleke. The governor had allegedly accused President Tinubu and immediate-past Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of being behind developments in the state ahead of the poll.
Dr. Bashiru dismissed the claims, saying the governor should tell Osun people what he has done in office if he is seeking a second term.
According to him, the APC in Osun has confidence in its candidates and structure, and will not be distracted by what he described as “blame games” from the incumbent administration.
The APC scribe urged Governor Adeleke to run a campaign centered on his record, policies, and plans for the state rather than making allegations against national leaders.
The Osun governorship election is scheduled to hold in 10 days.
