Twelve people lost their lives and 14 others were injured in a road accident that occurred in Edo State.

The crash, which involved several vehicles, happened along a major route in the state. Emergency response teams arrived at the scene to rescue victims, with the injured taken to hospitals for treatment. The remains of the deceased were deposited at a morgue.

Authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident, though early reports indicate speed and loss of control may have played a role.
