The Nigerian Army has achieved significant victories in the past 24 hours, rescuing 31 kidnapped victims and arresting 17 criminal suspects across six states Zamfara, Delta, Kogi, Kaduna, Nasarawa, and Taraba. These coordinated efforts, driven by intelligence and local collaboration, have disrupted criminal networks and reinforced the Army’s commitment to protecting civilians.

In Zamfara, troops of 1 Brigade Combat Team 5, working with local hunters, responded to a distress call in Kadage Village (Maradun LGA). Terrorists abandoned 25 hostages and fled; the victims were safely reunited with families in Moriki. In Delta, a suspected cultist/kidnapper and 11 accomplices were arrested in Ezuokwu Community (Oshimili North LGA). Two pump-action guns, five cartridges, crystal meth, and smoking paraphernalia were seized. Kogi operations rescued five victims in Lokoja, with two decomposed bodies discovered; troops also cleared a blockage on the Ayere Kabba Road. In Kaduna, a kidnapper was apprehended in Jagindi Kagom (Jema’a LGA). Nasarawa troops arrested two kidnappers in Kadarko (Keana LGA), handing them to police for prosecution. In Taraba, one victim was rescued in Abong (Kurmi LGA).
