Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is contesting on the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, with former Minister Rotimi Amaechi as his deputy.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has Senator Sandy Ojang Onor as its presidential candidate, with Umaru Babangida as running mate, while former Cross River Governor, Donald Duke, is the candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP.
Other cleared candidates include Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress, AAC, Adewole Adebayo of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Ada Elizabeth Okwori of the National Democratic Party, NDP, and Nkem Okereke of the National Rescue Movement, NRM — two of the female presidential candidates in the race.
INEC also listed four women as vice-presidential candidates, including Peace Egobia of APP, Nafisat Usaku of DLA, Hajja Konto of LP, and Patience Key of YPP.
According to the Commission, the presidential and National Assembly elections will hold on January 16, 2027, while governorship and State Assembly polls are scheduled for February 6, 2027.
