Lagos Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, says his main vision is to cut down travel time for residents across the state.

Hamzat spoke on Thursday at the Independence Day edition of The Platform, organised by The Covenant Nation, where he addressed the long-standing traffic congestion that has made commuting difficult in Lagos.

According to him, reducing the time it takes Lagosians to move from their homes to their places of work or business will be a top priority of his administration.

“My vision is if you live in Agege or you live in Ajegunle or you live in Ajah or in Igando, the time it takes you from your home to your work or where you ply your trade, I guarantee that it is going to be shorter than it is today, that is my guarantee,” Hamzat said.
