Rival gangs clashed in Katsina’s Unwala Quarters, leaving two dead and several injured. The violence erupted around 2:00 a.m. on March 21, between the Unwala gang, led by Ibrahim Amadu (Lalaye), and a rival group, Shararrar Pipe. Lalaye was killed, and in a reprisal attack, his gang members wounded four individuals, including Kabir Abubakar, Muhammad Isyaku, Abdulqadir Muktar, and Safyanu Idris, who later succumbed to his injuries.

The police responded promptly, mobilizing patrol teams to restore order, and arrested 11 suspects, including Jibrin Yau (Baban Jannat) and Aliyu Yau (Bawa). Investigations are ongoing to bring other perpetrators to justice and prevent further escalation.
