Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI have successfully foiled coordinated terrorist attacks in Limankara and Kukawa, Borno State, showcasing their combat superiority. The attacks, launched on February 20, 2026, were thwarted, reflecting the immense pressure on terrorist enclaves and logistics corridors.

In a separate operation, Sector 2 under Operation DESERT SANITY V conducted a precision operation in Lamusheri Village, Gujba LGA, neutralizing 15 terrorists and destroying their defensive structures, tricycles, and vehicles. The operation was supported by intelligence, satellite imagery, and air platforms.

The military has also uncovered mass graves containing the bodies of about 20 terrorists killed during recent encounters in the Timbuktu Triangle area of Borno State. This discovery highlights the heavy losses suffered by terrorist groups in the area.

In another development, troops intercepted a suspicious vehicle conveying ₦37 million in cash and several mobile phones suspected to be linked to terrorist financing in Borno State.
