Forces of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, have continued sustained clearance operations in the Timbuktu Triangle, pushing ISWAP and Boko Haram fighters out of several strongholds in Borno State.

According to security sources, the week-long offensive, launched Tuesday under Operation Desert Sanity, is targeting terrorist elements across the North-East theatre.

The first battle group, made up of personnel from the 25 Brigade, units of the 28 Task Force Brigade, and the Civilian Joint Task Force, moved along the Azir–Hawan Burum–Multe–Forfor corridor, securing key routes and surrounding communities.
Military sources confirmed that insurgents abandoned Forfor village before troops arrived, with no direct engagement recorded as the fighters fled on sight.
