The 2027 presidential campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially kicked off on Saturday at the Ranchers Bees Stadium, Kaduna, as thousands of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) flooded the venue.

According to Punch Newspapers, supporters began arriving as early as 7 a.m., with major roads leading to the stadium barricaded by security operatives. Some supporters reportedly spent Friday night at the stadium and on surrounding streets to secure seats ahead of the flag-off.

The supporters, dressed in colourful outfits, T-shirts, caps and hijabs bearing President Tinubu’s images, APC logos and pictures of their governors, particularly those of Kaduna and Kano States, were seen singing and dancing while chanting slogans such as “Tinubu Again,” “Tinubu Our Father,” “Asiwaju, Uba Sani for Second Term,” and “Tinubu Continuity.”

The rally marks the formal commencement of the APC’s campaign activities for the 2027 presidential election. The event is expected to attract 31 governors, party leaders, National Assembly members and other stakeholders as the ruling party begins nationwide mobilization for President Tinubu’s second term bid.

A solidarity march was held on Friday through major parts of Kaduna, led by the Director of the Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate, Silas Ali Agara, ahead of the main event.
