President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved his state-by-state campaign tour ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with the official flag-off of his re-election campaign scheduled for October 24, 2026, in Kaduna.

The Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, disclosed this on Friday evening after briefing the President at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, on the council’s preparations.
Yari said the President invited him to be updated on the level of preparedness and to review the proposed timetable for state visits during the campaign.
“By God’s grace, his team, I, and Mr President himself, we have agreed on how it’s going to be done. We have put forward a proposal. The inaugural meeting of the campaign council is going to be done on the 14th of this month. That’s next Wednesday at the State House banquet hall, and by God’s grace, on the 24th of October, we’re going to do our flag-off campaign in Kaduna,” Yari said.
He added, “Then we outlined our state visits to each and every place where we will go, and the President has approved them. So we are going to hit the ground running by the 24th of October.”
When asked about the next states after Kaduna, Yari said the campaign will move to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and then Maiduguri, Borno State, adding that the full timetable will be made public after the council’s inauguration on October 14.
