POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTS, RECOVER 197 SACHETS OF TRAMADOL IN ADAMAWA.

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Muhammad Mustapha, 32, and Muhammad Sanusi, 48, for alleged transnational drug smuggling. They were caught with 197 sachets of Tramadol at the Border Patrol Fufore Unit, and investigations reveal the drugs were being transported from a South-Eastern state to Cameroon. The police command commended the unit’s vigilance and professionalism, and the case has been handed over to the Monitoring Unit for further investigation.

The suspects, one from Kano State and the other from Garoua, Cameroon, were intercepted during a routine patrol. The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, praised the Border Patrol Unit’s efforts and directed the Monitoring Unit to take over the case for thorough investigation and possible prosecution.

This arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Adamawa State, following previous seizures of 1,396.5 kg of narcotics and arrests of 150 suspects by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
