The Oyo State Police Command says it is reviewing a video circulating online that claims to show one of the teachers kidnapped from Community High School in Ahoro-Esinle. 

According to spokesperson Olayinka Ayanlade, forensic experts are analyzing the footage to confirm if it’s genuine and to assist with the ongoing investigation and rescue efforts. The incident happened in Oriire LGA, and six people have so far been taken into custody in connection with the abduction. 

Officials say operations to secure the release of those still held are ongoing, combining security interventions with other measures. The state government has also extended condolences to the families of those killed during the rescue attempts and to the affected school community.
