Oyo APC governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has donated a Toyota Camry to Mrs. Rachael Folake Alamu, the principal of Community Grammar School, Ahoro-Esiele in Oriire Local Government Area.

Photos shared alongside the report show a black Toyota Camry parked within the school premises, and another picture of Senator Alli with Mrs. Alamu and other well-wishers.

After spending 56 days in captivity, Mrs. Alamu and 43 other victims were rescued on July 10, 2026, through a joint operation by the Nigerian Army, Police and DSS. In interviews after her release, the principal recounted harrowing experiences including beatings, being chained and blindfolded, and forced midnight treks through the forest.

Senator Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District, described the donation as a gesture of solidarity and appreciation for Mrs. Alamu’s resilience and service to education in the state.

The Oriire abduction remains one of the most talked-about school kidnappings in Oyo this year. Governor Seyi Makinde has since called for an independent investigation into the incident, a move the state APC has criticized.
