OSUN POLICE RESCUE 15 TRAFFICKING VICTIMS, ARREST SUSPECT.

The Osun State Police Command has rescued 15 youths suspected to be victims of human trafficking and arrested a suspect. The victims, from Niger, Togo, and Benin Republic, were lured with promises of good jobs in Nigeria and held in a house in Osogbo.

The rescue operation was carried out by the State Intelligence Department (SID) based on credible information. The victims include Moise Nanga, 30; Myriam Yakouba, 28; Rostand Joseph, 29; and others. They’re receiving care under protective custody, and efforts are underway to reunite them with their families.

The police are on the trail of other suspects, and the agent who rented out the house has been arrested. The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, urges parents, guardians, and house owners to report suspicious activities to security agencies.
