The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has begun uploading polling unit results from the ongoing Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal, IReV.

The upload commenced after voting ended at several polling units across the state following the official closing time of 2:30 p.m. fixed by the commission.

As of the time of filing this report, 849 out of 3,763 expected polling unit results had been uploaded to the IReV portal. This represents 22.56 per cent of the total results.

The development marks the beginning of electronic transmission and public viewing of results as INEC officials proceed with the collation process.

The IReV portal allows voters, political parties, candidates and other stakeholders to access results uploaded directly from individual polling units. The platform is designed to promote public monitoring and greater transparency in the electoral process.
