Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, have apprehended 97 suspects linked to kidnapping, robbery and violations of anti-grazing laws.

The suspects were arrested during coordinated operations across different parts of the state. Security personnel said those detained include individuals allegedly involved in abductions, armed robbery and herders found grazing within restricted areas.

Amotekun commanders stated that the arrests were part of efforts to curb rising criminal activities and enforce compliance with the state’s anti-open grazing law. They added that investigations are ongoing to determine the level of involvement of each suspect.

Authorities confirmed that the suspects will be prosecuted after preliminary investigations are concluded. The agency reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order across Ondo communities.

Residents have commended the operation, urging sustained patrols to protect lives and property.
