The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 339 suspects and seized 7,746.896 kilograms of assorted illicit drugs, including cannabis, cocaine, tramadol, and other psychotropic substances, in Kogi State, Nigeria.

The Kogi State Commander of NDLEA, Mustapha Yahuza, disclosed that the command also secured 80 convictions in 2025, with offenders receiving various jail terms. Yahuza said the command intensified efforts in Drug Demand Reduction, including drug abuse prevention education and the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign.

The command carried out 71 campaigns in motor parks, schools, marketplaces, mosques, and churches, and counselled 238 drug-dependent persons. The NDLEA is working with the Kogi State Government to implement drug supply and demand reduction policies.
