Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested a Brazil-based businessman found in possession of 6.1kg of cocaine hidden inside shirts and towels.

The suspect was intercepted during a security operation after narcotics concealed in clothing materials were discovered in his luggage. NDLEA officials said the illicit substance was carefully concealed within folded shirts and towels to evade detection during screening.

Preliminary investigations revealed the businessman was returning from Brazil when he was arrested. Authorities stated the seizure is part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking through Nigeria’s entry points.

The agency confirmed the suspect is in custody and will face prosecution as investigations continue. NDLEA reiterated its commitment to intercepting drug shipments and dismantling trafficking networks.
