Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, has launched a 9.4km road network and a 1,500-seater Royal Hall in Ogu, Rivers State, built by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). Wike described the projects as a testament to the Federal Government’s commitment to developing the Niger Delta region.

“The current level of development in Ogu, facilitated by NDDC, is overwhelming,” Wike said. “The commission has positively impacted the lives of Ogu residents, thanks to the working relationship between NDDC management and the Executive Director, Finance and Administration.”

NDDC Managing Director Dr. Samuel Ogbuku said the projects reflect the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda. “We’re spreading the good news of President Tinubu’s initiatives through tangible results,” he stated.

The projects include a 9.4km rigid pavement road with 7.3m width and a 1,500-seater town hall with modern fittings. The road will enhance connectivity and socio-economic conditions in Ogu and neighboring communities.

NDDC officials pledged continued development in the Niger Delta region, engaging stakeholders for harmony and cooperation.
