The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has called for the immediate dismissal of Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, over claims tying him to an alleged fraud involving a group known as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC.

In a statement issued July 3, 2026 and signed by National Publicity Secretary Osa Director, the party said it was “alarmed by the damning allegations of corruption” involving Gbajabiamila and one Prince Mathew Adeniyi Adeyemi, who describes himself as PFIPC’s Director-General.

The NDC alleged that the group, which it described as non-existent, was “used to siphon public funds, with the active collusion and facilitation by the Chief of Staff.” It added that the matter “raises fundamental questions about transparency, accountability, and the integrity of the Tinubu administration.”

Budget funds, CBN accounts

Citing Adeyemi’s claims, the party said PFIPC was said to have been allocated funds in the 2026 budget and opened three accounts with the Central Bank of Nigeria — a domiciliary account, a pound sterling account, and a Treasury Single Account, TSA.

“This development is baffling, given that the Presidency has publicly disclaimed the existence of any such agency,” the NDC stated.

The party queried how an entity it described as fictitious could have functioned within government financial structures.
