An explosion outside Moscow’s Savyolovsky train station killed a 34-year-old traffic police officer, Denis Bratuschenko, and injured two others. The blast occurred when an unidentified individual detonated a device near a police vehicle around midnight. The attacker, who approached officers from Moscow’s North-Eastern District, was later found dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the incident, with a criminal case opened against the perpetrator for attempting to kill a law enforcement officer and charges related to the explosive device. The motive behind the attack is still unclear.

The incident happened on the fourth anniversary of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, with some speculating a possible link, though no official connection has been established.
