The Kogi State Government has issued an urgent security alert following the abduction of all passengers on a Sienna commercial bus by armed bandits along the Ejule-Aloma Road in Ofu Local Government Area. The incident occurred earlier today, with reports indicating that the vehicle was intercepted by armed men who forced all occupants into the bush.

Security agencies are yet to issue an official statement or confirm any rescue operations. However, the Deputy Governor, Joel Salifu, has ordered security forces to establish a permanent checkpoint at the location and confront the kidnappers.

The public is advised to avoid the Ejule-Aloma Road immediately and refrain from night and non-essential travel around Ofu LGA. Heavy security activity is expected in the area.
