The Kebbi State Police Command has made significant progress in combating kidnapping and banditry, rescuing two abducted victims and arresting a suspect in separate operations in Kalgo and Dandi Local Government Areas. Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, stated that the operations demonstrate the Command’s determination to eliminate criminal activity in the state.

In Kalgo, a victim was rescued unharmed due to swift police response and collaboration with the Vigilante Group of Nigeria. A suspect was arrested, and investigations are ongoing. In Dandi LGA, police operatives rescued Garba Bachal, 50, after kidnappers abandoned him and fled. The victim is receiving medical attention, and security has been intensified in the area.
Residents praised the rapid response, which prevented prolonged hostage situations. Security analysts highlight the importance of community-based intelligence and inter-agency cooperation in tackling rural banditry. The Kebbi State Police Command assures residents of continued efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks and appeals for public cooperation.
