The 68th Grammy Awards have wrapped up, and it’s been a night to remember, with Kendrick Lamar being the most-awarded rapper in Grammy history, surpassing Jay-Z with a total of 27 wins. He took home awards for Best Rap Album for “GNX”, Record of the Year for “Luther” featuring SZA, and more.

Tyla, the South African pop star, made history by winning of her nomination for Best African Music Performance, first for “Water” in 2024 and then for “Push 2 Start” in 2026. This is a major milestone for African music, and Tyla’s consistent success is a testament to her talent.

Nigerian artists Davido, Burna Boy, Omah Lay, Ayra Starr, and Wizkid were nominated in the Best African Music Performance category, but ultimately didn’t secure a win. Burna Boy also lost in the Best Global Music Album category.

Other big winners included Bad Bunny, who made history as the first Spanish-language artist to win Album of the Year for “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS”. Billie Eilish took home Song of the Year for “Wildflower”, while Olivia Dean won Best New Artist.
