The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has cleared 279 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results that were previously held back due to suspected malpractice.

JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed the release Thursday via a statement on the Board’s official X account. He explained that the decision came after a detailed review of cases flagged during the 2026 UTME.
Benjamin noted that where investigations proved malpractice, the affected results were cancelled outright. In cases where the Board found no evidence against candidates, the results were approved and released.
However, results from centres that JAMB’s live monitoring team flagged for questionable conduct, or those tied to negative reports, are still being withheld. The Board stressed that any candidate later implicated in misconduct will have their result withdrawn.
Candidates awaiting their scores should send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number they registered with.
The 2026 UTME ran from April 16 to 25 across approved CBT centres nationwide. JAMB had earlier published 632,752 results for April 16, 1.26 million for April 17 and 18, and has also released results for April 20.
According to JAMB, the process is part of its standard verification exercise to uphold exam integrity and ensure only legitimate results enter Nigeria’s tertiary admission system.
