The Nigeria Police Force has detained four individuals suspected to be involved in the abduction of Adebayo Adelabu’s younger sister and her twin sons in Ibadan.

Force PRO DCP Anthony Placid said the arrest followed a late-night operation by the Force Intelligence Department’s Intelligence Response Team on Saturday around 7:30 pm. The team located and freed Olaide John-Paul and her 12-year-old twins Peter and Paul, three days after they were seized during a school run.
According to the police, the rescue came after days of surveillance and intelligence tracking. Two other suspects in the gang died during a shootout with operatives, and two rifles were recovered. The freed victims were said to be in stable condition and under medical care.
Placid noted that the four suspects now in custody are being questioned to uncover more details and identify other members of the network. He added that the police remain committed to dismantling kidnapping cells operating in Oyo State.
